Wow March flew by so quickly huh? I can't believe it's already April!

Anyway, get ready for the most picture heavy blog post I have ever written...

Spring has sprung in NYC

To prep for Nic and Makena's visit I ended up dragging Chad all over  the Upper West Side hunting for material to make curtains and pillows and trying to find a futon cover. He got grumpy so I took him to Five Guys

I obviously had some too... it was so good and we decided that we like it better than Shake Shack.
While walking Batman we met Mr. Squiggles... a PIG! He was out on a walk and him and Batman totally became BFF

On the first day of Nic and Makena's visit we went to the US' largest Holi festival... supposedly Utah claims this... but the article I read said that ours was... and ours was more legit because it actually had mainly Hindus...

Everyone there loved seeing white people and putting color all over us

Right after we took this picture some teenagers took a picture with us  and then one of the grabbed me, picked me up and took a picture with me... it was super funny

Helpful tip... if you're sprayed with color and water it will stain your blonde hair.. I have pink streaks in it

Chad said if I punched dance down the street I could get a Shamrock Shake ... I did it, then I found a picture of someone else punch dancing
Later that night we took Nic and Makena to our favorite novelty pizza place... yum!

I can never get over how big it is

Nic was a big spender and got his with pepperoni

We decided that it would be fun for us and Batman if we dropped  him off at doggie day care

Times Square! Honestly, I don't much care for Times Square but you have to go when you visit

at FAO Schwartz they have a part where you walk in and it's a Kaleidoscope!

Does anyone else remember these??? I use to LOVE them! They're at FAO Schwartz

We made Nic and Makena try the giant piano from Big!

They were hesitant at first... but then they loved it

GIANT candy!! Largest Rice Krispies treat and Gummy Worm!

Chad thought this was sooo funny... this is a baby seat when it's not on his head :)

I made everyone wear funny hats

Twilight walk in Central Park

So romantical!

We went to Chinatown for some amazing dumplings, but we ended up eating them at Popeyes in Chinatown because there was no where to eat the dumplings! Sadly, we didn't take a picture of the cannoli we got after... Little Italy is right by Chinatown

We took the Staten Island Ferry for a bit of an adventure

It was pretty perfect out

fun views of the city!

That's Jersey over there!

On the stairs of the main branch of the public Library, that's my "I'm not tired face"

Empire State Building at night, not very awesome from this close

Museum of Natural History... That's a giant whale behind us if you couldn't tell

They have a giant clam shell to sit in!

It took us forever to get in there and take this picture... we made kids wait forever  haha

Do you recognize this? It's in a lot of movies... the park is PERFECT for people watching

Nic and Makena left a bunch of their stuff here since they were  flying back  from NYC so Chad was a sweet brother and fixed one of their bags that broke. He is wearing his head lamp and sewing with floss. The best part? We had some friends over and the boys were discussing how to sew while us ladies were sitting around giggling and eating

That's the end of Nic and Makena's visit, but I wanted to share these too!

That is an Audi R8 behind me! It was parked like 100 yards from our apartment... I was a creep haha

This is at the MET... we went with some friends and acted like 12 year olds. That's Chad in front of an Egyptian  wig

So that's our month for the most part... pretty action packed and exciting! We are loving getting out and exploring the city little by little. It's finally gotten warm enough to not want to be inside all the time and I am so happy about that, I can't wait for the summer now!
